COURSES AND EVENTS at HalliKELD

Here at Hallikeld, we often organise courses or special events in order to create a safe and welcoming space for learning and asking questions. Over the past few years, we have run:

The Alpha Course - click to visit site

The Prayer Course - click to visit site

The Bereavement Journey - click to visit site

The Start Course - click to visit site

Everybody is welcome and although it is helpful if you book early, you are very welcome to just drop in on the day!

We have also enjoyed Watch Parties of The Chosen during Lent, which is an incredible and ground-breaking series depicting the life of Jesus. Within the first ten days of dropping, Season 5 was viewed 4 million times across 222 countries in 50 languages… and it is all entirely free to view via the app. Click here to find out more.

What our Attendees Said…

"I have found depths within myself and others that were unexpected, but very helpful."

"I was very frightened to start the course in fear of 'opening up' a can of worms!  I eventually joined in week 2 and thankfully haven't looked back.  The Bereavement Journey has been of such great value to me.  I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in this."

"A fascinating but challenging course which had a great mixture of listening to a video and then chatting with a very interesting group.  I learned a lot."

"I came to the course hoping to prepare possibly for the future.  Very quietly that became very much a back seat.  As I have discovered and I have re-calibrated my whole life and all that it has entailed.  That recalibration has taken most of my reflective time."

"It's good to talk... It has been very helpful to chat with others and to be open."

"I've found it very helpful sharing my experiences in a kind, caring and empathetic environment.  Thank you."

"A perfect time to reflect in a supportive atmosphere."

"Really helpful in many ways."

"Really helpful to view things in a different point."

"I attended the first session of the Bereavement Journey almost by accident.  By its end I realised that the course would be an incredibly hard but unmissable opportunity to deal with latent grief, and I forced myself to return for the other sessions.  I am so glad I did as it gently brought me face to face not only with unresolved issues surrounding bereavement, but with deeper-seated personal issues that I have been able to confront and start dealing with in the months following.  I am so thankful for this course."
